MANHATTAN, KANSAS, U.S. — The IGP Institute announced on Jan. 5 it has appointed Kelly Hannigan to fill the position of program services coordinator. Hannigan joined the IGP team on Jan. 4.

“Kelly’s understanding of the IGP Institute along with her marketing and communications skills make her a great asset to our team,” said Brandi Miller, IGP Institute interim associate director.

Hannigan graduated in December 2015 with a bachelor’s of science degree in agricultural communications and journalism from Kansas State University (KSU). During her time at KSU, Hannigan spent two years as the IGP communications intern. In this role, she handled a variety of communications tasks including writing, photography, design, and the development of web and social media content.

She also worked as a communications intern for the Global Food Systems Initiative working closely with members of the division of communications and marketing team at KSU.

“Through her internships, Kelly gained experiences in all aspects of marketing and communications that will add to our programming and course promotions at the IGP Institute,” Miller said.

As the program services coordinator, Hannigan will be providing support in the areas of marketing, participant relations and building administration.

“I really enjoyed my time working at IGP as a student,” Hannigan said. “Looking ahead, I’m excited to be a part of such an energetic work environment that allows me to interact with people across the globe.”
