TOKYO, JAPAN — Nippon Flour Mills Co. Ltd. reported on Feb. 6 that profit for the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2017, was 6.2 billion yen ($56.8 million), down 12.7% from the 7.15 billion yen reported in the same period a year earlier.

Revenue was down 10.8% to 9.3 billion yen.

For the year, the company is forecasting profit of 9 billion yen, up less than 1% from the 8.9 billion yen reported last year.

Revenue for the year is forecast at 13.5 billion yen, up 2.6% from last year.

Nippon has seven flour mills, including large-scale coastal mills located in major cities throughout Japan. Its large-scale coastal mills account for 80% of the company’s production capacity.
