CORUM, TURKEY — Alapala recently completed a turnkey project for the Karabo?alar Flour Mill in the Mardin Organized Industrial Zone in Turkey.
The project was completed in about five months, with the mill starting operations in July. The mill has a capacity of 600 tonnes per 24 hours.
The facility, constructed in order to meet the requirement of quality flour, especially in Iraq and Syria, is one of the largest capacity single line flour mill in the region and Turkey, Alapala said.
Hygiene was a high priority for the facility.
The mill is equipped with full automatic PLC control and Alapala’s latest technology milling machines including Smilago II, Arion and Aurora. The eight-story mill has several high-level features in terms of technology and operation, Alapala said.
