CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA — Adam Weiss has been named chief executive officer for OPI, a global leader in grain storage management.

Weiss takes over from Dave Crompton, who is beginning his retirement.

“Adam is the ideal choice to lead OPI into the next generation of success,” Crompton said. “He has spent over 25 years injecting innovation and superior customer satisfaction into tech-focused organizations.”

Weiss has been in ag tech for the last 10 years, leading the product and technology teams as a director at GSI, chief operating officer at IntelliFarms, and vice president at AGI.

“Building on its history of innovation, I’m excited to lead the next chapter of OPI’s growth,” Weiss said. “By focusing on our partners and the customers we serve and leading the industry with the best products and services, we will fulfill our mission of getting every grain to market.”

Weiss received a degree in electrical engineering and a master’s of business administration. His tech-centric career accomplishments include transforming several ag tech businesses, overhauling product lines and retooling operations.
