AMERSFOORT, NETHERLANDS — Nutreco has named David Blakemore chief executive officer of Trouw Nutrition, the company’s livestock feed business.

Blakemore will assume his new position and become a member of Nutreco’s management board no later than Jan. 1, 2023, the company said.

Blakemore was previously president of Animal Nutrition & Health of Netherlands-based DSM and a member of the DSM Nutritional Products executive leadership team, as well as a member of the DSM leadership team. Before DSM, Blakemore worked at The Dow Chemical Co., predominantly in the Agro Sciences.

Blakemore has held senior leadership positions in multiple geographies, living and working in the United States, New Zealand, Latin America and Switzerland.
