KIEV, UKRAINE — Ukraine’s corn exports dropped 25% in the first half of the 2020-21 season to 15.9 million tonnes, Reuters reported, citing customs data from APK-Inform consultancy.

China was the leading export market with 6 million tonnes of corn exported between October 2020 and March 2021. It was followed by the EU at 5 million tonnes, Egypt at 1.7 million tonnes and other destinations at 3.2 million tonnes.

Ukraine produced 30 million tonnes of corn in 2020 and the ministry of export said exports would not exceed 24 million tonnes in 2020-21, Reuters said.
