CREMONA, ITALY – Ocrim SpA signed an agreement on Jan. 18 with Kalizea, a company of the VIVESCIA Group, for the supply of a complete milling line for maize grits production.

VIVESCIA, based in Reims, France, is one of the most important farming and food industry cooperative groups in the world. It manages the supply chain from field to fork, from consumer to the producer. Kalizea manages the raw material processing.

The contract was signed by Vincent Jacquot, chief executive officer (CEO) of Kalizea, Giovanni Gualtieri, procurement director of VIVESCIA Group, and Alberto Antolini, Ocrim’s CEO, at Ocrim’s headquarters.

Kalizea chose Ocrim for this project because of its futuristic approach and also its experience, Ocrim said. Jacquot said Ocrim is an important vehicle to strengthen the position of Kalizea, and of VIVESCIA in general, in the agribusiness sector, thanks to its historical experience and expertise in the milling sector.”

Antolini said Ocrim feels honored to have this new adventure with Kalizea since it consists of “a business founded both on professional integrity and on a human relationship based on an honest synergy and mutual cooperation.”
