A preconference workshop on Process Management will open the program on Oct. 4. Jeff Gwirtz, JAG Services Inc., will conduct the workshop. Gwirtz has a Ph.D. in milling science from Kansas State University and taught for several years in the grain science and industry department prior to beginning his own company. Some of the topics to be covered during the workshop include: flour milling process, compact mills vs. long mills, lightsout vs. semi-automatic mills, big capacities vs. small capacities, double vs. single roll stand.

The event will also feature an expo with exhibitors from around the world showcasing the latest technologies.
