KHARTOUM, SUDAN — Alapala will build a 10-tonne-per-hour feed mill in Khartoum, Sudan, with an estimated opening date of February 2022.

The mill includes a sorghum intake and storage unit, sorghum flake unit, cake grinding unit, silage handling unit, mixing unit and storage unit.

It will import raw material and produce white sorghum flakes, groundnut cake, ground straw and molasses for domestic use. The steel silos, which will be provided by Symaga, will have a total capacity of 12,408 tonnes.

This is Alapala’s second feed mill and sixth reference project in the region.

In addition to a state-of-the-art automation system, the mill will be equipped with a remote connection feature. Thanks to this feature, Alapala after-sales team can access the mill for technical assistance such as inspection, error diagnosis, calibration, and troubleshooting.
