JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI, U.S. — The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) announced Dec. 20 that it has hired Kate Shenk as director of regulatory affairs.

Shenk was previously with the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), where she led a regulatory affairs committee and developed analyses and comments on regulatory policies.

“I am pleased that Kate Shenk will be joining NBB as our new director of regulatory affairs,” said Donnell Rehagen, chief executive officer of the NBB. “Kate brings extensive knowledge of the regulatory policies that shape the biofuels industry’s growth. Her addition to our Washington-based federal affairs staff will increase the biodiesel industry’s effectiveness in policy advocacy.”

The NBB is the U.S. trade association representing the biodiesel and renewable diesel industries, including producers, feedstock suppliers and fuel distributors.
