KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, US — The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) welcomed a record 3,716 attendees from 45 states, 23 countries and nearly 1,000 companies to GEAPS Exchange, which ran Feb. 24-27 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, US.
In addition to great education, GEAPS Exchange included an Expo Hall filled with technology and services from nearly 400 exhibitors to make grain operations safer and more efficient; education on the latest trends and best practices and social events that help reinforce business relationships.KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, US — The Grain Elevator and Processing Society’s (GEAPS) Exchange is Feb. 24-27 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, US.

Hours are 11:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 25; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 26; and 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Feb. 27. Following are products and services from World Grain advertisers who will be exhibiting at GEAPS:ATLANTA, GEORGIA, US — This year’s IPPE at the Georgia World Congress Center — sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association, the North American Meat Institute and the US Poultry & Egg Association — was the largest in history in terms of the number of exhibitors (nearly 1,300) and exhibit space (600,000 square feet).

To qualify for the complete list, which runs to 104, companies must have two or more facilities and total storage capacity of 6 million bushels.KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, US — These are the top 10 US states with the most off-farm grain storage capacity as listed in Sosland Publishing Co.’s 2024 Grain & Milling Annual.
The US had 11.822 billion bushels of off-farm grain storage as of Dec. 1, 2022, up from 11.817 billion bushels the previous year. Storage has grown steadily each year from 8.5 billion bushels in 2003. Crop statistics for each state are from the US Department of Agriculture’s 2022 State Agriculture Overview.

DUNAFÖFOLDVÁR, HUNGARY — Pannonia Bio sees great potential in the versatility, resilience and sustainability of barley, convincing the Hungarian company to add to its sprawling biorefinery plant with what it describes as “the world’s first high-capacity production plant for barley protein concentrates.”
Located on more than 40 hectares along the Danube River near the town of Dunaföfoldvár in central Hungary, the plant has the capacity to process 800 tonnes of barley per 24 hours and is designed so that production capacity can be doubled in the coming years.
Pannonia Bio hired Uzwil, Switzerland-based Bühler to be its primary equipment supplier. Equipment installed in the plant includes Bühler’s LAAB grain cleaner, MTRC separator, MTSD destoner, BSPB polisher, MDDZ Diorit roller mills, MPAK Sirius sifters, DFZC hammermill, AHHD pellet mill and MSDH and MSDM scales.
