JAKARTA, INDONESIA — Bogasari, the flour unit of Indofood, said on Sept. 4 that it expects revenue to grow by 5% this year on increasing demand for flour and consumers’ strong purchasing power, according to an article in the Jakarta Post.
 
Last year, the flour unit had revenue of $1.59 billion. Bogasari accounts for 24% of overall sales for Indofood. It has two processing facilities in Tanjung Priok in Jakarta and Tanjung Perak in Surabaya, both situated near port areas. Its total annual production capacity is 3.2 million tonnes.
 
Total flour sales increased 9.1% to 2.81 million tonnes last year, while instant noodles sales volume grew by only 4.3% to 12.65 billion packs, according to the company’s 2013 annual report.
