ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, U.S. — Registration is now open for the American Feed Industry Association’s (AFIA) 2014 Import & Export Seminar scheduled for Dec. 9-10 in Arlington, Viriginia, U.S. The seminar is a collaboration of educational courses and discussions to address issues related to regulatory trade requirements for feed, ingredients and pet food.
The educational event is open to industry professionals interested in learning about current trade industry constraints and how they can support the efforts of the varying agencies. It is ideal for anyone responsible for the importing and/or exporting of products for their company.
Foreign Service Agriculture Administrator Phil Karsting will deliver this year's keynote presentation on "Linking U.S. Agriculture to the World." Other speakers include individuals from the Office of the United States Trade Representative, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and Foreign Agriculture Service, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The early-bird registration fee, available through Nov. 10, is $475 for members and $950 for non-members. Registration fees cover the conference, all program materials, meals and thereception.
