KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, U.S. — The Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT) said on April 2 that during the month of March open interest in the Hard Red Winter Wheat futures contract, the wheat options and the exchange as a whole increased over open interest at the end of February.

In the HRW wheat futures contract, open interest at the end of March stood at 139,507 contracts, an increase of 6.4% over open interest of 131,086 contracts at the end of February.

Wheat options open interest of 15,900 contracts at the end of March was an increase of 37% compared to 11,609 contracts at the end of February.

Total exchange open interest of 155,407 contracts at the end of March was an increase of 8.9% compared to open interest of 142,695 contracts at the end of February.
