CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA — OPI hired Khaled Saad as executive vice president to lead its in-house engineering team.

Saad has delivered multiple projects in a variety of industries, including agriculture, military defense, aerospace and security. His career includes global experience with AGCO and GSI Group, as well as a number of specialized tech systems companies.

“If technology is the soul of growth, engineering is the heart, and Khaled’s expertise and leadership inject proven, results-driven energy into our core,” said Adam Weiss, chief executive officer of OPI. “Our customers and partners will benefit from not only his technical knowledge but also his deep understanding of the global ag market.”

Saad leads OPI’s software engineers and developers, tasked with driving the company’s mission of leveraging new and advanced technology.

“By combining technology and insight at OPI, we aim to not only safeguard harvests but also cultivate a wealth of opportunities for those who feed the world,” Saad said.

Saad received a master’s of business administration degree and a master’s of advanced study (DESS) from Université de Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada, as well as a bachelor’s of engineering degree from École de technologie supérieure, Montréal.
