HONG KONG, CHINA — Noble Group Ltd. announced on Feb. 9 that José Luiz Glaser has been appointed as chief executive officer of Noble Agri Limited, the parent company of Noble’s agriculture businesses.

In this capacity, Glaser will be responsible for all of Noble’s agriculture businesses. He will report to the chief executive officer (CEO) of Noble Group Limited. He has more than 30 years of grains and softs trading, asset management, business development and business management experience, gained primarily at Cargill, where he managed large operations in Switzerland, the U.S. and Brazil. He worked at Cargill for 27 years with his last role being general manager Grains and Oilseeds Supply Chain. He joined Noble in August 2011.

In addition, Ernesto Leon-Gambetta has been appointed as deputy CEO, Agri Softs and Jacques Gillaux has been appointed as deputy CEO, Grains and Oilseeds of Noble Agri Limited, reporting to Glaser.

Leon-Gambetta has held various positions with Cargill, Coex and Louis Dreyfus. In 2003, he joined Noble as co-director of the Coffee Department in charge of Arabica coffee. He is in charge of Coffee, Cocoa, Sugar and Cotton Divisions.

Gillaux joined the Noble Group in December 2010 as global head of Grains and Oilseeds. He brings 26 years of experience at Cargill in commodity trading and commodity processing/logistics assets management. He has worked in Switzerland, France and Brazil in the grains, oilseeds, feed ingredients, rice, sugar, ethanol and petroleum physical markets. Gillaux is a graduate from EAP-ESCP Europe.

Noble is also pleased to announce that Stephen Brown, currently head of Investor Relations, has been promoted to director, corporate affairs, responsible for Noble’s investor and media relations and for ensuring implementation of corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Brown began his career with Cazenove & Co. in London. He is a director of the Civic Exchange, a Hong Kong-based not-for-profit public policy think tank, a member of the Securities and Futures Commission's Dual Filing Advisory Group and a former member of the Main Board Listing Committee of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. He joined Noble in August 2007.

All of the above promotions take effect March 1.
