LAHTI, FINLAND — Symaga recently supplied silos for Vicking Malt’s latest project in Finland, which required a wide range of products.

Symaga supplied Bühler with 78 silos of 15 different types of metal hopper silos. The project highlights the importance of offering a product portfolio in a wide range, the company said.

Symaga offers storage capacities ranging from 5 to 2,649 cubic meters, including three different hopper angles, including 45 degrees, 60 degrees and 66 degrees.

Viking Malt is one of the world’s leading special malt companies. Its malts come from northern Europe and are distributed to many breweries all around the world for crafting unique beers.

The new plant in Lahti, Finland, is one of the largest investments in the food and beverage sector in Finland in recent years. It’s a space where 40 companies are working together toward building a state-of-the-art malting plant with the latest cutting-edge technology at all production levels.

Symaga said it is proud to be working “hands on” on this great project together with Bühler and is looking forward to being part of the next challenge in the storage industry.
