FORT MILL, SOUTH CAROLINA, US — Till Westerbarkey is the new chief executive officer of REMBE Inc., bringing extensive worldwide explosion safety and business development experience from his years with REMBE Safety + Control and other companies.

He replaces Gerd Mayer, who is retiring as founding president and CEO from REMBE.

Most recently, Westerbarkey was managing director of REMBE Latin America where he developed a sales, engineering and service team. This significantly grew the Latin American market/awareness of combustible dust explosion safety and REMBE capabilities to service that market.

While undertaking this project, Westerbarkey also worked with the REMBE chief business development officer in Germany as deputy chief business development officer to increase networking within the REMBE Group and to better serve global accounts on an international level.

Mayer oversaw REMBE Inc.’s start-up and growth to today’s position as a significant contender in the combustible dust explosion safety market.  In addition to establishing a US headquarters facility in Fort Mill, South Carolina, Mayer spearheaded the REMBE Inc. ISO Certification project to a successful conclusion.

Mayer will stay on with REMBE® Inc. in a consulting capacity until April 30, 2023.

REMBE manufactures process safety systems, explosion protection systems, and dynamic weighing systems.    All products meet the requirements of national and international regulations, include ATEX and NFPA.
