ISTANBUL, TURKEY — Alapala announced that its technical director, Milan Shah, died on July 14.
Shah made great contributions to the company, officials said, and to the whole milling industry with a wealth of technical knowledge.
“He was a great leader and his vision and guidance inspired Alapala and the memory of his stellar leadership will continue to be a beacon for us all,” company leaders said. “He was a dear friend and colleague to the Alapala team and will be greatly missed.”

LOWELL, MICHIGAN, US — King Milling Co., Michigan’s largest flour miller, on April 10 celebrated the completion of the latest expansion of its flour milling complex. The $47 million project, which began in 2022 and was completed this winter, involved erecting the mill as well as two slipform concrete wheat storage bins that are attached to it.
