DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – The International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Mideast & Africa District announced on May 11 that its 31st annual conference and expo is scheduled to be held as an in-person event Oct. 10-12 in Dubai.
Dubai was also the site of the district’s 30th anniversary celebration in November 2019. Last year’s conference was canceled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

LOWELL, MICHIGAN, US — King Milling Co., Michigan’s largest flour miller, on April 10 celebrated the completion of the latest expansion of its flour milling complex. The $47 million project, which began in 2022 and was completed this winter, involved erecting the mill as well as two slipform concrete wheat storage bins that are attached to it. SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, US — Millers, suppliers and allied industries from across the globe gathered for the 128th International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Conference & Expo from April 15-19 in Salt Lake City. From the opening reception through the awards banquet, attendees were treated to connections, education, equipment and celebrations of the milling industry.
