ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, U.S. — U.S. Wheat Associates (USW) welcomes Casey Chumrau as market analyst in its Arlington, Virginia, U.S., headquarters effective July 25. Chumrau will monitor and report on global wheat market trends and activity, produce weekly price reports and provide contract, quality specification and price assistance to U.S. wheat exporters and importers.

“Casey will be an excellent addition to our organization,” USW Vice-President for Planning Jim Frahm said. “Her experience and enthusiasm will aid USW in our mission to provide information and advice to wheat importers and processors around the world and to share that information with the U.S. wheat industry.”

Most recently, Chumrau worked for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance as an international trade associate, providing research, writing and analytical support, including for hearings on the Panama and Korea free trade agreements. She also worked in her home state as a market research assistant at the Montana World Trade Center, helping expand trade opportunities for local organizations and businesses.

Current Market Analyst Chad Weigand is transitioning to the position of assistant regional director for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, currently held by Joe Sowers. In May, USW named Sowers as assistant regional director for South Asia in Manila, Philippines.
