ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, U.S. — In partnership with Kansas State University, the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is hosting an online feed manufacturing course Aug. 26 through Oct. 14.
The five-week, AFIA 500: Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing, distance education program provides an understanding of the feed manufacturing process, while allowing participants to work at their own pace and engage in online discussions with other students and university instructors.
This course covers a variety of topics, including: the process flow from particle size reduction, to batching and mixing, conditioning and pelleting, boilers, post-pellet systems, packaging and loadout and maintenance.
Registration for the course is now open and closes Aug. 16. The program fee for the course is $499 for members and $685 for non-members.
