ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN — Kazakhstan has harvested 22.1 million tonnes of grain as of Oct. 22, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

News agency Kazinform said data from the Ministry of Agriculture shows the country has harvested 14.9 million hectares so far this year, which equates to about 99.2% of the areas planted to grain and leguminous crops. By comparison, Kazakhstan harvested 15.32 million hectares, or 99.7% of the areas planted to crops, in the same period a year ago.

Kazinform said the harvested area measured this year stretches over 15.63 million hectares, up from 15.36 million hectares during the same period of 2017.
