Ag Growth International’s (AGI) SureTrack PRO is a simple way to source quality grain and follow the life cycle of the grain, from seed through the supply chain.
As a tailored solution that provides traceability, SureTrack PRO allows processors, co-ops or specialty merchandisers to:
With a goal of preventing grain entrapment incidents, Anderson Engineering created the TSS2 to remove or break up blockages within grain silos, so agribusiness workers do not have to enter the silo and risk injury.
The TSS2 is designed for food and agriculture products. It is built for heavy duty lifting. Its eyebolt will lift 10 tonnes and the dome is reinforced. The dome houses a vibrator to break up obstructions with close-up horizontal vibrations. It has an air motor, high torque gear box and air vibrator. Two air lines power the device and both have exhaust lines coming back to the controls. A small airline allows the operator to ensure the device stays vertical. Its auger will bury the device and is reversible. All construction is stainless steel.
To increase safety when working on ground storage systems, JMI Covers, LLC designed the Guardian Positioning System with that in mind. The Guardian Positioning System is integrated into JMI Covers grain covers and is placed to allow grain employees to be securely attached to a tie off point. The system is designed to reduce the chances of sliding of the pile while working. It also allows personnel to safely maneuver around the pile during cover installation, maintenance, sample probing or when removing cover sections during product reclaim.
The self-learning electric actuator from LINAK is designed to open and close many different types of gates and valves. To ensure a tight close, the actuator needs to be adjusted due to differences in manufacturing tolerances between the slide gate manufacturer and the actuator. Typically, this was done with manual movement of physical limit switches. This new self-learning software can adjust to specific dimensions of a gate’s opening with an internal controller that will take the place of many pieces of hardware. The actuator senses the size of the opening and adjusts to it with software. The actuator can be programmed without a computer, just with a quick button sequence. With the internal controller and features from LINAK, the part list, cost and footprint of the gate can be reduced. The self-learning actuator eliminates the need for manually adjusted internal switches and external proximity switches.
The Seedburo Equipment Company’s new video camera system, Barge Stowage Exam Camera System, mitigates the risk of personnel on barges and increase operational efficiencies. Via a camera for a live view, the technology is remotely controlled for, pan, tilt and zoom in an IP-based format. It also includes a fixed program scan of barge hold for consistent examination required by the US Department of Agriculture’s Federal Grain Inspection Service.
Sioux Steel Company’s Edge Sweep expands on the added features of a paddle sweep by removing grain from the very edge of the grain bin and allowing it to be moved and reclaimed by the paddle sweep. The product offers can be installed on new or existing Daay Bin Paddle Sweeps. The flexible polypropylene bristle head can easily work around obstructions in the bin (i.e. internally stiffened bins). The Edge Sweep reduces the labor needed and further reduces the need to access the bin by preventing buildup of grain and debris in edge of bin.
