The 2024 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) gets underway at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, US. Thousands of attendees were expected, including members of the feed industry.
Registration is the first stop for some of the thousands of attendees. Constance Cullman, president and chief executive officer of the AFIA, told World Grain that attendance may approach the record of nearly 33,000 set in 2019.
IPPE is the world’s largest annual display of technology, equipment, supplies and services used in the production and processing of eggs, meat, and poultry and those involved in feed manufacturing. Nearly 1,300 exhibitors were showcased.

AGI is a leader in the planning, engineering and manufacturing of full equipment solutions and systems for farm and commercial use in grain, fertilizer, food, feed and seed. Chris Wager and Jaimie Larson represented Bühler during IPPE. Bühler was showcasing its customer support services, offering the support needed for planned inspection and maintenance, unforeseen emergencies, and everything in between.
Technology, equipment and supplies for feed manufacturing were showcased in the Feed Hall.
With US agriculture exports facing strong trade headwinds, including the strength of the US dollar and increased competition, market diversification is a priority, said Alexis Taylor, US Department of Agriculture undersecretary for trade and foreign agricultural affairs. Read the story here.

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, US — This year’s IPPE at the Georgia World Congress Center — sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association, the North American Meat Institute and the US Poultry & Egg Association — was the largest in history in terms of the number of exhibitors (nearly 1,300) and exhibit space (600,000 square feet).
