PORTLAND, OREGON, US — Agricultural commodities exporter Pacificor, LLC, a joint venture of Columbia Grain International, Marubeni, ADM, Viterra and Agrex, has named Jerry Bahe to the newly created position of vice president of operations.

Bahe will have full oversight of all operations for Pacificor, an exporter of soybeans, corn, wheat, sorghum and specialty crops. Pacificor operates Columbia Export Terminal, LLC, in Portland, Oregon, US, and Kalama Export Company, LLC, in Kalama, Washington, US.

While the terminals will remain fully separate entities with their own management teams, Bahe will be responsible for maintaining overall safe, consistent, efficient and structured operational practices for Pacificor. Bahe also will oversee the company’s health, safety and compliance activities.

With over 29 years of experience, Bahe most recently was vice president of operations for Cooperative Producers, Inc. (CPI), in Hastings, Nebraska, US. He managed operations for a full-service cooperative of 23 grain, 20 agronomy, 22 energy and one feed locations.

Prior to CPI, Bahe was regional operations manager for Gavilon and served in various roles over 14 years at Pacificor’s export terminal in Kalama, including plant manager and vessel operations.

Bahe received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business/management from the University of Nebraska.

“Pacificor is confident that this appointment will strengthen our team and establish a solid foundation for our continued growth and position as the preeminent exporter of agricultural commodities in the Pacific Northwest,” said Sean M. Tingey, president and chief executive officer of Pacificor.
