MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – Registration is still open for the 2023 Australian Grains Industry Conference (AGIC), planned for July 26-27 at Crown Promenade in Melbourne.

Hosted by Grain Trade Australia, Australian Oilseeds Federation and Pulse Australia, AGIC will feature renowned speakers, industry experts and thought leaders.

“The theme for this year's conference, ‘Challenging Success, Maintaining Momentum,’ reflects the ever-evolving landscape of the grains industry and the need to adapt and thrive in an increasingly dynamic environment,” said Pat O’Shannassy, chief executive officer of Grain Trade Australia. “With an impressive lineup of speakers, interactive sessions, and a captivating social program, attendees can expect two days filled with invaluable insights and meaningful connections.”

The conference will feature national and international experts in their field and encompass a wide range of topics related to the grains industry. Highlights from the two-day conference will include presentations from:  

  • Ben Macnamara, CBH Group CEO, who will share his insights into the challenging success of the Australian grain supply chain
  • Marty Ruikka, president and principal, The ProExporter Network, who will provide an outlook for global grains and oilseeds
  • Michael Anderson, head of sustainability, Graincorp, and Richard Eckard, University of Melbourne, as part of a panel examining ‘ESG Credentials: Now and for a Sustainable Future’
  • David Speers, award-winning journalist will chat with Stuart Grainger, CEO, George Weston Foods Ltd., and Zsolt Kocza, managing director, Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain
