MAUMEE, OHIO, US — Pat Bowe, president and chief executive officer of The Andersons, Inc., has been named an Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 Michigan and Northwest Ohio Award finalist by Ernst & Young LLP (EY US).
In its 37th year, Entrepreneur of the Year is a preeminent competitive business award for transformative entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are building a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous world for all.
Bowe was selected by an independent panel of judges. Entrepreneurs were evaluated based on their demonstration of building long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.

Based in Maumee, Ohio, US, The Andersons is a diverse agribusiness in the commodity merchandising, renewables and plant nutrient sectors. Bowe has more than 40 years of experience in the agricultural sector, including nearly eight years at The Andersons, with an extensive leadership background in commodity and futures trading, acquisitions and joint ventures, process improvement, strategic sourcing, capital management, and establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Regional award winners will be announced on June 21 and will then be considered by the national judges for the Entrepreneur of the Year National Awards, which will be presented in November at the annual Strategic Growth Forum. The Entrepreneur of the Year National Overall Award winner then competes for the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Award in June 2024.
