TOPSFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS, US — The nomination deadline for the 2022 Women in Agribusiness Demeter Award of Excellence, which recognizes women who have achieved excellence in their field or demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the agribusiness industry, is July 15.

The award is presented by Women in Agribusiness (WIA), a HighQuest Partners business, and recipients will be recognized at the annual Women in Agribusiness Summit, Sept. 26-28, 2022, in Dallas, Texas, US.

The WIA Demeter Award of Excellence is named for the goddess of the harvest from ancient Greek mythology and has honored more than 25 notable women in the sector since 2013. Among the honorees have been founders of women’s leadership groups, those who have achieved the status as the first woman president of global agribusiness operations or led mission-critical profit-and-loss projects, as well as innovators who developed new programs or launched gender diversity initiatives.

There is no limit to the number of entries, and up to three recipients will be chosen. Each recipient will be notified and invited to accept the award at the 2022 Women in Agribusiness Summit.

Nomination criteria include:

  • Woman with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the ag and/or food industry;
  • Woman who is a positive example to other women in the industry;
  • Woman who breaks down barriers and serves as a resource for others; and
