MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, US – The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) on Jan. 20 released its full educational schedule at the 2022 GEAPS Exchange and announced that Shawn Ellis, a motivational speaker and business coach, will deliver the keynote address at the event, scheduled for March 26-29 in Kansas City, Missouri, US.

Attendees will be able to learn from industry experts, interact with the new Innovation Stations, and ask questions during the educational sessions, which are designed to help keep workers safe, improve efficiency and product quality and inspire innovation.

“The Education Committee is excited about offering excellent educational opportunities for Exchange 2022 attendees,” said Randy Bowman, vice chair of the Exchange Educational Programming Committee (EPC). “Each year we look to bring in new and relevant topics with speakers that are experts in their area.  And this year’s program is very strong.”

For the first time in nearly 100 years of GEAPS members gathering for GEAPS Exchange, the association is bringing in a keynote speaker to kick off the educational sessions. For more than 20 years, Ellis has been working to help leaders, teams and organizations not only survive — but thrive — in the midst of change and challenges. He uses science-backed tools and techniques designed to provide immediate, lasting relief from stress.

Ellis’ presentation — “Beyond resilience: Making a shift from surviving to thriving” — targets all members of the grain industry, from seasoned pros to students working toward a future in agriculture.

The full educational program, which features more than 45 hours of educational content, is available online.
