MINSK, BELARUS — Belarus announced on Aug. 26 that it will ban grain exports for six months due to a smaller-than-usual harvest due to hot, dry weather, Reuters reported.
The government projects the 2021 grain crop at 6.2 million tonnes, a 14% decrease from the previous year, according to the report.
The ban will include wheat, rye, corn and other grain crops.
