MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, US —The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) is offering a number of programs to increase safety and efficiency.

In partnership with the Iowa Grain Quality Initiative, GEAPS is offering an Advanced Grain Elevator Operations course, May 10-14. The course will help attendees learn how to manage grain quality to minimize spoilage and shrink. The course is taught by the experts at the Iowa Grain Quality Initiative. Registration is now open and closes May 5. 

GEAPS also is highlighting some of its on-demand online courses.

GEAPS 500: Introduction to Grain Operations, is an online course and on-demand. The entry level course will teach participants how to stay safe and how grain moves through a facility. The course is self-paced and can be completed in five weeks. 

Another on-demand training opportunity is the Certificate in Sustainable Management from GEAPS Professional Business Training programs. This certificate program includes five courses, about 15 hours of training, to help attendees learn more about generating profits, protecting the environment and improve lives in their community. Courses included in the sustainable management certificate program include:

  • Corporate social responsibility 
  • An overview of sustainable management 
  • Triple bottom line accounting 
  • Measuring sustainable management performance
