KIEV, UKRAINE — Ukraine’s millers and bakers are cautioning the government to slow grain exports as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Reuters reported.

The associations are looking to keep bread prices from surging as they are already seeing an increase in wheat prices.

An increase in demand from grain exports caused an increase in domestic wheat prices up to $18 per tonne and potentially may cause a jump in flour prices, Reuters said.
