LEAVENWORTH, KANSAS, US — Dustin Mariman has joined Great Western Manufacturing as regional sales representative covering the mid-Atlantic region.

Mariman brings 14 years of milling experience to this new position. He attended Kansas State University where he received his milling science degree in 2008. While at KSU, he worked in the university’s Hal Ross Flour Mill and interned for Wilkins Rogers Mills for two years. Mariman then moved into the associate head miller position at ConAgra Mills in Martin’s Creek, Pennsylvania, US, for two years before returning to Wilkins Rogers Mills and packaging facility in Ellicott City, Maryland US, as the plant manager for 10 years.

“That experience will allow Dustin to consult with our bakery, pet food, chemical and milling operation customers to ensure proper system sizing and successful implementation of a Great Western solution,” said Paul Van Camp, director of sales at Great Western. “He knows what our customers require and expect, because he recently was a customer of ours.”

Mariman grew up on a farm in northwest Kansas where his family grew wheat.

“My entire life has been focused on the production and processing of wheat to help feed people across the country,” Mariman said.

Mariman said he is looking forward to using his experience to help others find the best solutions for their processes. He said he is interested in working with companies on their quality control to help them produce the best product for their customers.

“I look forward to using our sifters to bolster the food safety culture of any food manufacturing facility,” Mariman said.

Founded in 1858 and headquartered in Leavenworth, Kansas, US, Great Western manufactures commercial equipment for dry sifting applications in food processing and custom industrial applications.
