LEAWOOD, KANSAS, U.S. — Bruce Chapin has joined Agspring as chief financial officer (CFO), the company announced on Aug. 9. Chapin is responsible for all financial management, accounting and reporting for the corporation and its subsidiaries.

Chapin joined Agspring from Louis Dreyfus where most recently he was the head of industry — North American region.  His more than 20 years in the commodity and milling business has included multiple positions at Dreyfus including chief operating officer, director of operations and interior chief financial officer — all for the North American region, as well as controller of the Kansas City office. Previously, Chapin was a controller and internal audit manager for Bartlett and he has worked as an auditor for other firms in the Kansas City region.

“Bruce brings Agspring a wealth of financial management experience in the grain industry,” said Mark Beemer, Agspring chief executive officer.  “He is an immediate asset to not only our investors and internal finance personnel but also all of the companies who collaborate with us in commodity and food ingredient supply chains.”    

Chapin is a certified public accountant is based in the Agspring headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, U.S.
