The American Feed Industry Association has been following the news and messages from local, state and federal authorities regarding travel in light of the COVI-19 outbreak. After close consultation with AFIA members and partners, the association have made the decision to cancel the in-person 2020 Feed Industry Institute, originally scheduled for June 8-11, 2020, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S. Instead AFIA is pivoting to a virtual format and the association looks forward to sharing details soon.

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, US — These are the top 10 largest US wheat-durum-rye milling companies, based on US mills and milling capacity as listed in Sosland Publishing Co.’s 2024 Grain & Milling Annual. The United States has 147 wheat, 17 durum and 12 rye mills. Total US daily milling capacity is 1,653,347 cwts, and the top 21 companies represent 96.2%.
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, US — The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) welcomed a record 3,716 attendees from 45 states, 23 countries and nearly 1,000 companies to GEAPS Exchange, which ran Feb. 24-27 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, US.
In addition to great education, GEAPS Exchange included an Expo Hall filled with technology and services from nearly 400 exhibitors to make grain operations safer and more efficient; education on the latest trends and best practices and social events that help reinforce business relationships.
