MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — TheAustralian Grains Industry Conference 2018(AGIC) will showcase the continuing development of Australia’s industry, but it also will explore the critical issues around changing global supply and market dynamics. Leading Australian and international speakers will address this subject and provide insights into the grains industry of tomorrow.

The two day AGIC 2018 program will be Aug. 1-2 in Melbourne, Australia. It will feature many high-profile Australian and international speakers and will provide analysis and commentary on critical global supply, market, trade, technical and technology trends. AGIC 2018 also will continue its reputation as a forum to network with key Australian and global grains industry stakeholders.

“Over the past 20 years, AGIC has built an enviable reputation as a forum for new ideas and expert opinion, and I am excited about an expected larger-the-ever turnout, and the highest level of opinion and debate this year,” said Pat O'Shannassy, chief executive officer of Grain Trade Australia, one of AGIC’s host organizations.

Delegates from around the globe will join AGIC 2018 hosts (Grains Trade Australia, Australian Oilseeds Federation and Pulse Australia) and other industry participants at the Crown Promenade Hotel in Melbourne, Australia, to hear first-hand what the Australian and international experts are saying. There will be an opportunity for delegates to discuss the “big issues” with industry colleagues, to update their knowledge of critical industry trends, and to participate in conference forums that help to formulate views on the grains industry future. Delegates also will have an opportunity to network with around 1,000 key leaders, decision-makers and service-providers in the grains industry.

AGIC 2018 will provide the opportunity to enjoy the welcoming surrounds of the Crown Promenade Hotel and to take advantage of the range of AGIC 2018 social events. Attendees can “mix and mingle” at the Grain Grower’s Welcome Reception, enjoy the IKON AGIC 2018 Golf Day at the Huntingdale Golf Club, and join other delegates at the CBH AGIC Dinner, where they will be entertained by one of Australian best-loved commentators and “funny-man”, Dave Hughes.
