MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, U.S. — The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) is hosting a course with a focus on integrating quality management systems into standard operating procedures and normal business activities.

Registration is now open for the GEAPS: 530 Quality Management Systems for Bulk Materials Handling Operations and will be April 23- May 25.

The online course from the GEAPS/KSU Distance Education Program introduces quality management systems as they are used in agricultural storage environments.

After finishing the course, the goal is for students to be able to do basic quality analysis of their operation and identify points where physical quality or economics are affected. Students also will have the skills to create a food safety plan and develop a quality management system.

This course is one of six courses required for the credential in grain operations management. Three additional courses are also available in October.
