MOSCOW, RUSSIA — Russia grain exports in 2017-18 are nearly 40% higher year on year at 39.17 million tonnes, according to statistics released by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture on April 1.

Wheat exports are up 41% year on year, at 30.61 million tonnes.

The biggest jump year over year is in barley exports, which are up 97% from a year ago at 4.41 million tonnes, the ministry said.

Corn exports are slightly up year on year as 3.98 million tonnes have been exported so far this marketing year, up 2.3% from at this time in the 2016-17 marketing year, according to the ministry.
