MANHATTAN, KANSAS, U.S. — Modern feed manufacturing and advances in feed technology will be the key elements of feed manufacturing course hosted by Kansas State University’s IGP Institute.

The course is planned June 11-14 at the IGP Institute in Manhattan, Kansas, U.S.

Topics to be covered include grain storage and pest control; particle size reduction; batching and mixing; extrusion, drying and cooling; effect of feed processing on animal nutrition; pelleting, cooling and crumbling; feed and ingredient handling; feed plant design; energy conservation in the feed mill; steam generation systems; and molds and mycotoxins.

The course is ideal for feed mill owners, managers, supervisors, merchandisers, equipment manufacturers, maintenance personnel and managers of livestock, poultry and agriculture facilities.

Cost is $1,200 or $950 for graduate students.
