Last year Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.-based Cargill launched the SimPure brand, which are starches that help deliver simple ingredient labels and provide process tolerance, shelf life and storage stability, according to the company.
The new plant in Denmark should start production in the middle of this year.

AKV Langholt AmbA, a cooperative owned by 160 potato growers in Denmark, produces potato starch and potato protein as well as byproducts.
