VILLARTA DE SAN JUAN, SPAIN – Symaga received the enterprise merit award in the export category on Dec. 13.

The award is given by the government to companies that have proven export activity and trajectory. Marta Garrido, Symaga’s operations director, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

Symaga said it has a presence in more than 140 countries and a 90% export rate. The company set a manufacturing record in the first part of 2017, leading worldwide projects, including 240,000 tonnes of storage facilities in Ukraine.

In the second half of 2017, the company started work on storage facilities for six paddy rice facilities in Nigeria. Total capacity of the project is 390,000 tonnes. Symaga also supplied three large facilities in Saudi Arabia, including the King Abdullah Seaport terminal, a new feed mill in Yanbu port terminal and storage of 27,000 cubic meters for a starch and glucose facility.
