MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Cargill on Dec. 7 opened a new $12 million facility in the Philippines that will manufacture premix feed solutions under the Provimi brand. The facility is located at the First Bulacan Industrial Park in Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines, and employs 50 people.

“The Philippines and Southeast Asian countries are seeing increased consumer demand for meat products, especially pork and chicken,” said Noel Kim, general manager of Cargill Provimi, Philippines. “At our premix plant, Cargill can now manufacture the animal nutrition products these producers need to sustainably deliver high-quality, safe, affordable meat to consumers.”

The plant is Cargill’s fifth animal nutrition facility in the Philippines and its first dedicated to manufacturing Provimi premix solutions. The facility will serve primarily medium to large livestock farms and feed millers.

The company said the facility enhances its capability to provide customized nutrition solutions and is designed to deliver 20,000 tonnes of premix solutions per year.
