WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA – Richardson International Ltd. continues to expand its retail crop inputs network across the Prairies. The company announced the acquisition of 10 retail crop inputs locations in Western Canada from CHS Canada LP. The transaction is expected to close in November.

Richardson will acquire nine crop inputs locations in Alberta — Alix, Beiseker, Bow Island, Carseland, Craddock, Lacombe, Rolling Hills, Standard and Vauxhall — and one in Edenwold, Saskatchewan. All 10 locations are full-service crop input retailers, providing producers with chemical, fertilizer and seed services.

The company continues to grow its Richardson Pioneer network across Western Canada through acquisitions and new builds. In August, Richardson acquired two independent, full-service retail crop inputs centers in Vermilion, Alberta and Forestburg, Alberta. Richardson also opened a new crop inputs centers in Elrose, Sas last summer and will be opening another new location in Pasqua, Saskatchewan in November.

These are the most recent additions of crop inputs centers.

Richardson Pioneer acquired Webb’s Crop Services Ltd. in Vermilion, Alberta and Agro Guys Inc. near Forestburg, Alberta. Both businesses are independent, full-service retail crop inputs centers that provide local customers with seed, fertilizer and crop protection products. The acquisitions closed on Aug. 31 and employees joined the Richardson Pioneer team on Sept. 1.
