Unga Group EXE all purpose home baking flour
 
ELDORET, KENYA — Unga Group Ltd., a Kenyan-based holding company with investments in flour milling and manufacturing of a human nutrition products and animal feeds, is planning to commission a new, 300-tonne per day wheat milling plant in Eldoret, Kenya, by the end of 2017, according to an article in theBusiness Daily Africa. The Eldoret plant’s machinery currently handles 250 tonnes per day.

“A new wheat mill project is on course for commissioning in Eldoret toward the end of the current financial year,” the company noted in the BDA article. “These investments will solidify the group’s market position.”

Nick Hutchinson, chief executive officer of Unga, told the BDA that the new plant will help reduce expenses through efficiency and lower wage bills.

“This is our state-of-the-art machine that will be more economical to run and efficient on production,” he said. “It is going to cut down on our expenses.”
