MANHATTAN, KANSAS, U.S. – The IGP Institute at Kansas State University (KSU) and Bühler are working together to host a training opportunity for grain industry professionals. The Bühler-KSU Executive Milling course will be held Nov. 6-10 at the IGP Conference Center in Manhattan, Kansas, U.S.Registrationcloses Oct. 6.


The course is an introduction to grain cleaning, flour milling and grain quality and functionality. 

“It is a great course for anyone from new managers to a sales person to customer service rep,” said Jason Watt, Bühler instructor of milling. “This course will give participants an understanding of the flour milling process and allow them to be more successful in the flour milling industry.”

The training covers topics including raw material, cleaning system, milling system, finished product handling and storage, performance evaluation in the flour mill, basics in starch damage, practical in the Hal Ross Flour Mill, basics in flow quality, factors that influence an investment decision and basics in aspiration.
