MUSCAT, OMAN — The board of directors of Oman Flour Mills has appointed Salim Khairulla as interim chief executive officer until the appointment of a new CEO. Khairulla fills the role of Ali Habaj, who stepped down as CEO of Oman Flour Mills to join Oman Cables Industry at the end of June.

Khairulla is currently the chief financial officer at Oman Flour Mills.

Habaj had been with Atyab Investments, which manages Oman Flour Mills, since 2000, and was CEO since 2004. In addition to his duties at Atyab Investments, Habaj has held several leadership roles within the Mideast and Africa region of the International Association of Operative Millers, including as regional director and secretary general and treasurer.
