COLOGNE, GERMANY — Vanden Avenne, president of the European Feed Manufacturers Federation (FEFAC) will participate in the official opening ceremony of the new FIAPP, Victam & GRAPAS International 2011 exhibitions and conferences that is May 3-5 in Cologne, Germany,

“Vanden Avenne will help in the ribbon cutting ceremony alongside other dignitaries from the Feed & Grain Industries,” said Henk van de Bunt, Victam’s general manager, announced at a recent press gathering. “It will be four years since the last Victam International exhibition and a lot has happened within the industries that this world famous exhibition serves. This will be reflected in this new event — there will now be three trade shows within the exhibition hall and seven different conferences for the international delegates to attend.”

The last show was in 2007 at Utrecht, Netherlands. This year’s event will held within the largest exhibition hall within the Koelnmesse in Cologne. More than 300 companies from 28 countries are exhibiting at the event.

“Victam International is now the largest exhibition in the world for animal feed processing technology and systems. Our visitors will see the latest specialist appropriate technology that is used in the safe and cost effective manufacture of animal and aqua feeds as well for dry petfood,” said van de Bunt. “There will also be a wide selection of companies that supply the “nuts & bolts” equipment that are so necessary for a modern and efficient production plant and distribution system. These include silos, conveyors, IT, magnetics, coolers/dryers, bagging systems, trucks and much, much more.”

FIAAP is the new trade show with conferences organized specifically for ingredients, additives and formulation technology used within animal feed, aquafeed and dry petfood processing. Exhibitors will be displaying a wide range of feed ingredients, feed additives, formulation programs, laboratory and quality control equipment.

GRAPAS is also a new exhibition and conference and is for flour milling, grain processing, storage & preservation, pasta, breakfast cereal and extruded snack production. Visitors will be able to see a wide range systems and equipment used in these production processes and will include: flour & rice milling technology, extruders, flakers, additives & flavors, etc.

Again as with all production plants ancillary equipment is required to supplement the specialist technology - dust explosion prevention systems, silos, conveyors, elevators, magnetics, coolers/dryers, instrumentation & automation, bagging systems, to name a few. All of these and more will be on display at the exhibition in Cologne.
