MOSCOW, RUSSIA — JSC United Forwarding Co. (OTEKO) plans to open a 14.5-million-tonne grain terminal in Taman, a rural locality in the Temryuksky District of Krasnodar Krai in Russia, according to UkrAgroConsult. Construction on the facility is expected to begin in the near future with an opening set for the first half of 2019.

According to UkrAgroConsult, OTEKO will partner with Louis Dreyfus on the project. The companies are expected to invest approximately 6 billion Russian rubles ($92.5 million) in the project by 2020.

Previously, OTEK signed five agreements with RosMorPort to build and design objects at the port of Taman, and the company intends to invest $2 billion in the project over the entire port upgrade period, according to UkrAgroConsult.
