CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) contributed more than $390,000 to local food banks across the U.S., including $350,000 in monetary and in-kind donations and more than $40,000 in matching contributions from ADM colleagues.

“As one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and food ingredient companies, our purpose is to serve vital needs, and hunger relief is one of the most vital needs for many people around the world,” said Mark Bemis, president, North America for ADM. “As we focus heavily on food this week during Thanksgiving celebrations here in the U.S., ADM is committed to doing our part to help neighbors in need in the communities where our employees live and work.”

ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises of three focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
